James "Jimmy" Don Poe, age 82, of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday November 14, 2021 in Twin County Regional Hospital.

Jimmy was born on January 8, 1939 to the late Graham and Myrtle Bedwell Poe.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Wilma Leonard Poe of Galax, Virginia; daughter Rhonda Poe Russell of Randleman, North Carolina; sons and daughters-in-law Richard Don & Connie Lynn Poe of Randleman, North Carolina, James Rodney and Kelly Elizabeth Poe of Independence, Virginia, Randall Scott and Sierra Josephine Poe of Galax, Virginia. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday November 17, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the Galax Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Titus Anderson and David Holderfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday in the Church from 11AM until time of the service.
