James David Isom age 67 of Wytheville, Virginia passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 in the Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital.

James was born on January 13, 1947 in Virginia to Guy and Virginia Williams Isom. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter April Bayer.

He is survived by two daughters Donna Konigsmark of Austin, Texas and Jennifer Smith of Georgetown, Texas; sisters and brother-in-law Janie Duncan, Mary Ruth Webb, Susie and Lewis Goad all of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Eugene Isom of Galax, Virginia; Ronnie and Teresa Isom of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters-in-law  Margaret Isom of Raeford, North Carolina; Mary Isom of Galax, Virginia; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Titus Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
