James Alton Cruise, Sr.'s Obituary
James Alton Cruise, Sr. age 81 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Cruise was born on August 22, 1929 in Carroll County, Virginia to Edgar M. and Beulah Bedsaul Cruise. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Annie Patton Cruise.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Karen and Rodger Adams of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law James A. Cruise, Jr. of Crossville, Tennessee; Bobby R. and Tena Cruise of Green Bay, Wisconsin; grandchildren Jessica Adams; Allison Adams; Josh Cruise and Zack Cruise; special friend Mary Henderson; and several nieces and nephews
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Galax City Cemetery with Rev. Ernie Smith officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Hillsville VFW Post 1115.
