James Carroll Smith, Jr. age 66 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
James was born in Wilmington, Delaware on October 10, 1957 to James Carroll Smith, Sr. and Barbara Leonard Smith.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Bryant Smith; son James Smith III; sister and brother-in-law Diane and Jeff Leath; brother and sister-in-law Glen and Carol Smith; two grandchildren Levi Smith and Abram Smith all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM at the home at 56 Natural Lane, Galax, Virginia.
