James Luther Burnett, 62 of Findlay and formerly of Virginia, died at 9:39 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his residence.

James was born on July 29, 1955 in Galax, Virginia to the late Whitfield Painter and Thelma Emazette (Catron) Burnett. He married Wreatha R. Johns and she survives in Findlay, along with a son, Shane Burnett and a grandson, Gyle of Virginia; a brother, Paul Edward Reavis of Galax, VA; a sister, Shirley (Jack) Nester; three stepchildren, Tina (Bob) Siefer, Rodney (Teresa) Bartchlett, and Kevin (Jackie) Bartchlett; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Keller.

James was a truck driver, employed by the Murrow's Transfer Inc. for many years. He enjoyed fishing, especially the annual fishing trip with his family and friends in Virginia. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandson Gyle in Virginia.

Visitation will be held at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME from 10-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Gardens outside of Arcadia, Ohio. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.kirkpatrickbehnke.com.
