James Aaron Chipman age 67 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center in Independence, Virginia.
Jim was born on May 6, 1946 in Grayson County, Virginia to Robert Stratton and Euna Lee Bedsaul Chipman.
He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law LaConna Moretz; Amanda and James Anders and Ashley Chipman all of Galax, Virginia; step -son Randall Chipman of Roanoke, Virginia; grandchildren Shane Harris; Ryan Harris and Isaac Anders; great-grandson Michael J. Harris; brother Roger Chipman of Mooresboro, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Thursday, September 5, 2013 at twelve noon in the Snow Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ernie Smith and Darren Kinzer officiating. Burial will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Snow Hill Baptist Church.
