Jama Lee Donithan Cornett Murray, 81, of Galax, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Waddell Nursing Home, Galax.
Jama was born August 9, 1927 in Grayson County, Virginia to Harve and Leona Pierce Donithan.
Survivors are her husband: A. L. (June) Murray, Jr. of Galax; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Elizabeth & June Catron of Independence, Shirley & Roy Truitt of Galax; one brother & sister-in-law: Virgil & Wannie Donithan; step son and wife: Joseph & Anna Murray all of Galax. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Monday, January 12, 2009 at 3:30 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with interment to follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock at the funeral home.
