Jalene (Jay) Quesenberry, 84, of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Waddell Nursing Home, Galax, VA. Jay was born August 3, 1931 to the late Joe Floyd and Pearl Elizabeth Ayers Quesenberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons Randy Wayne Quesenberry and Craig Allen Quesenberry.

Jay was baptized in the River Hill Christian Church July 13, 1947. He was an ordained Deacon for many years and served as church treasurer for many years. Jay was a life time member of the Laurel Rescue Squad and member of UCT for over 50 years.

Jay is survived by wife: Kathleen Burnette Quesenberry of the home; son Brian Douglas Quesenberry of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter-in-law: Shelia G. Quesenberry also of Woodlawn. Two step grandchildren Mitchell White and Michele Quesenberry; two step great grandchildren Jace White and Gavin Quesenberry.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the River Hill Christian Church with Leo Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the church.
