Jacob Allen Stanley age 41 of Mt. Airy, North Carolina passed away Monday, July 6, 2026 in the Wythe County Community Hospital.
Jacob was born in Galax, Virginia on November 30, 1984, to “Jug” and Patricia Charlene Grimes Stanley. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Roy and Edith Grimes.
Jacob was employed with VDOT and Pillar twenty plus years as highway engineer.
He is survived by his wife Lana Ann Stanley; children Harley Adairre Stanley; Ryan Adam Stanley all of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Dakota Ross Dalton (Cassidy Thomas) of Hillsville, Virginia; mother Pat Stanley of Fries, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Matt and Jacklyn Stanley of Hillsville, Virginia; one grandchild Raelyn Dalton; niece Luci Stanley and nephew Lane Stanley; his Beloved Pets Pumpkin and Si.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday at 6:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Dave White officiating.
