Jackie Dean Wright age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Wright was born in Grayson County, Virginia on March 31, 1935 to Wilber Bruce and Gladys Virginia Hawks Wright In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara June Hawkins Wright.

He is survived by daughters and son-in-law Tammy and Randy Williams; Anita Wright all of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Tim and Angie Wright of Floyd, Virginia; sisters Peggy Truitt of North Carolina; Maxine Robinson of Ossipp, North Carolina; Betty Holder of Mt Airy, North Carolina; Nancy Johnson of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Hascal and Ann Wright of Galax, Virginia; Dale Wright of Rural Retreat, Virginia; Bill and Barbara Wright of Fries, Virginia; five grandchildren Katie Lamb; Kenny Lamb; Allison Purdue; Annalee Owen and Andrew Owen; several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
