Jackie Ray "Shave" Wilson passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, surrounded by his three children. He was born on July 2, 1955, in Galax, Virginia, to his loving parents, Jack and Faye Wilson. For the past 29 years, he resided in King, North Carolina.

Jackie graduated from Galax High School in 1973. He then worked in logging operations and as a truck driver before joining Weyerhaeuser, where he eventually retired.

He could best be described as a kind and gentle man, always willing to help anyone he met in any way he could. Those who came to know Jackie grew to love him as a cherished friend.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, pitching horseshoes, and spending time in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Engaging in these activities, whether alone or with family and friends, brought him immense joy and peace.

Jackie is survived by his wife, Patricia Wilson; his children, Cable Wilson, Corey Wilson, and Olivia (Wilson) Mason; four stepchildren; his loving brother, Larry Wilson; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Faye Wilson.
