Jackie Edward Kennedy, age 57, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the NC Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem, NC.
Mr. Kennedy was born April 27, 1956 in Charlotte, NC to Jack Vilas and Emma Jean Davis Kennedy.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Jesse Jack Kennedy.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Kennedy, Galax, VA; daughter, Natasha Kennedy, Newnan, GA; mother, Emma Jean Kennedy; sisters, Diane Sturgell, Wytheville, VA, Juanita Robinson, Huntsville, NC, Heidi Edmonds, Galax, VA, Lisa Campbell, Hillsville, VA; brothers, Douglas Robinson, Lexington, NC, Kenneth Kennedy, Galax, VA. Several nieces & nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home , Tuesday April 30, 2013. Friends may also call at the home of Kenneth Kennedy at 1111 Hebron Road, Carroll County, VA at any time. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Sam Blevins.
