Jack Stevenson Leonard, 64, of Fries, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on June 13, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David O. and Betty Jo Leonard; a brother, Richard Sheldon Leonard; and a sister, Tammy Jo Leonard.
Jack is survived by his sister, Katrina Leonard Holbrook and her husband Patrick.
Born in Galax, VA, Jack graduated from Galax High School and went on to earn a degree in Machine Technology from Wytheville Community College. Over the years, he built a respected career as a Master CNC Machinist and Quality Assurance Specialist, working for Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Company in Galax, VA, Nautilus in Independence, VA, Guardian Glass in Galax, and various machine and tooling shops across the Tri-Counties area.
Outside of work, Jack was a man of many passions. He was an accomplished gunsmith, a dedicated and awarded plasma donor for the American Red Cross, and an enthusiastic outdoorsman and traveler. He was also known for his love of the unexplained as an avid Bigfooter and a devoted fan of Svengoolie.
Jack will be remembered by his family and many friends as a fun-loving, kind, and generous soul who brought laughter and warmth to every room he entered.
Friends may call at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The burial will be private for the family.
