Ivan Burnett Wilson age 92 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Wilson was born on November 11, 1917 in Carroll County, Va. to Samuel & Bertha Landreth Burnett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter & son-in-law Shelby & Wesley Tompkins.
She is survived by her husband Robert Lee Wilson of Galax, Va.; daughters & sons-in-law Colene & Bill Hudson of Ennice, N.C.; Shirley & Lavon Shumate of Galax, Va.; Iva Lee & Roger Black of Kernersville, N.C.; Mary & Tom Weatherford of Big Island, Va.; son & daughter-in-law Sidney & Linda Wilson of Galax, Va.; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Camp Zion Church with Pastor Rodney Christman; Rev. Sam Holder and Rev. Butch Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from one until service time at Camp Zion Church. The family request donations be made to The Gideons International in memory of Mrs. Wilson.
