Ivalee Mae Hawks Mccraw's Obituary
Ivalee Mae Hawks McCraw age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. McCraw was born in Carroll County, Va. on August 29, 1927 to Samuel Everette & Lena McCann Sumner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Kenneth Glade Hawks and Carlos McCraw and a brother Alton Sumner.
She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Linda & Stevie Nester of Austinville, Va.; Lois & Steve Galyen of Ennice, N.C.; grandchildren & spouses Stephanie & Michael McMillan; Derrick Galyen; Durand Nester; Kenneth & Melissa Nester; Kristy & John Viars; great-grandchildren Alicia McMillian & Bradley Nester; brother & sister-in-law William Ardath & Doris Sumner of Woodlawn, Va.; brothers-in-law & spouse Clarence Davis of Woodlawn, Va.; Cullen & Ellen Lawrence of Galax, Va.; sisters-in-law Lola Hawks of South Carolina; Vera Hawks of Woodlawn, Va.; Rubye Byrd of Galax, Va.; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Russell Payne & Rev. Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Crooked Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
