Iva June Burcham age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday March 23, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Burcham was born in Grayson County, Virginia on July 2, 1936 to Harvey and Winnie Galyean Rutherford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Archie "Bud" Burcham; sisters and brothers-in-law Eva and Lewis Nichols; Nina and Mitchell Carico and a half-brother Bruce Jones.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry Burcham of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Debbie Burcham of Roanoke, Virginia; grandchildren and spouse Eric Burcham, Shelley and Michael Carpenter; Paige Burcham; great-grandchildren Grant Carpenter and Madilyn "Madi" Carpenter; brothers and sisters-in-law Herbert and Ruth Rutherford; Rudolph and Lou Ella Rutherford; Thomas Rutherford all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Olivet Union Baptist Church with Elder Herbert Rutherford and Elder Wayne Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Union Baptist Church Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.
