Iris Gladese Haga Richards age 78 of Fries, Va. passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Forsyth Medical Center. Iris was born on August 22, 1928 in Grayson County, Va. to the late John D. & Myrtle Shupe Haga. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Maynard "Buddy" Richards. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Teresa & Roger Fortner; a son & daughter-in-law John & Peggy Richards all of Fries, Va.; sister Jane Stoneman of Vinton, Va. and a brother & sister-in-law James & Ina Haga of Fries, Va.; one niece; one nephew and one great-niece. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Providence United Methodist Church with Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Providence United Methodist Church.
