Irene Tomlinson Hodges' Obituary
Irene Tomlinson Hodges age 98 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Golden Living Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Hodges was born in Virginia on May 31, 1914 to Eard and Mary Ellen Parks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Frank Tomlinson and Lindsey Hodges.
She is survived by niece and her husband Phyliss and Charles Fipps of Laurinburg, North Carolina;niece Amelda Privett of Galax, Virginia; nephew Ronnie Privett of Hillsville, Virginia; great- niece and husband Michelle and Ricky Furr; great-nephew John Privett all of Galax, Virginia;great-nephew and wife Charlie & Jenny Singleton of Maryland; one great-great-niece and one great-great-nephew.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 1:30 PM in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. Gleasanna Dixon and Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy officiating.The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
