Imogene Flora Ayers Monday age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday March 14, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Monday was born on Monday February 28, 1932 in Carroll County, Virginia to Charles Oather and Flora Ellen Carico Ayers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Warren H. Monday.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Brenda and Garnett Leonard; Judith and Clifford Fariss; Ellen Hill all of Galax, Virginia; special adopted daughter Betty Powell; grandchildren and spouses Oather Leonard; Renea and Joe Patton; Maggie and Kenny Funk; Sandy Grimes all of Galax, Virginia; Jennifer and Marcus Jarrells of Cana, Virginia; great-grandchildren Preston Anderson; Cory and Hannah Anderson all of Galax, Virginia; Shiloh and Madison of Cana, Virginia; Aiden Grimes; Myriah Leonard and fiance' Curtis Phillips all of Galax, Virginia; Joshua Burton; great-great-grandchildren Austin Grace Phillips; Mayhala Blake Phillips; Colin Worrell; brother Don Wade Ayers of Deer Parks, Washington; several nieces and nephews; special niece JoAnn Rucker.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Calvary Church of Christ with Pastor Johnny Young officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Calvary Church of Christ.
