Imogene F. Kemp age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, August 23,2021 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Ms. Kemp was born in Fries, Virginia on February 2,1931 to Andrew and Bertha Grace Riggins Fender. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother William Fender and two sisters Galena Hill and Doris Akers.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Charles and Laura Kemp of Independence, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Deborah Beamer of Hillsville, Virginia; Tammy and Richard Patton of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Jennifer and Kevin Marshall of Cana, Virginia; Suzanne and Gary Horton of Acworth, Georgia; Jacob and Angela Beamer of Hillsville, Virginia; Julie and Mark Greene of Claypool, Virginia; Grayson and Stephanie Patton of Glade Valley, North Carolina; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends Mary Jane Carico,; Carolyn Young and Sharon Barker; special caregiver Susan Utt.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM in the Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Haga and Butch Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Grace Baptist Church.
