Imogene Poole Crowder age 71 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Francis Manor Nursing Home in Marion, Va.. Mrs. Crowder was born on November 12, 1936 in Galax, Va. to Fred & Leona Kenode Poole. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Belford Crowder. She is survived by her sons Danny W. Crowder; Randy Crowder and Edmond Crowder all of Galax, Va.; sisters Bessie Poole of Galax, Va.; Emerdean Dickerson of Dublin, Va.; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 11, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Robert McLean officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
