Imogene Blevins Chappell age 80 of
Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Chappell was born on June 14, 1933 in the Cripple Creek Community of Wythe County, Virginia to James Reed and Abbie Davis Blevins.
She is survived by her husband James Chappell of Grayson Nursing Home in Independence, Virginia;
daughter Ramona K. Chappell of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Michael R. and Sue Chappell; Carl D. Chappell and Terry E. Chappell all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Shannon Liddle; Rachel & T.J. Sealy; Kelli Chappell; Justin and Heather Puckett; great-grandchild Braydon "BooBoo" Puckett; sisters Marie Carey and Shirley Carico both of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Dennis & Joyce Blevins of Ivanhoe, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; many special friends.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Titus Anderson officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
