Imogene Bobbitt Bowers' Obituary
Imogene Bobbitt Bowers age 87 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Bowers was born in Carroll County, Virginia on December 16, 1927 to Anderson Andrew and Rose Mae Weatherman Bobbitt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Bowers.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Dianna S. Bowers of Galax, Virginia; two grandsons Matthew Bowers and Joshua Bowers; two great-grandchildren Brady Bowers and Kylie Bowers; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 3:30 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with the Rev. John Grimm officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 6929 Carrollton Pike, Galax, Virginia 24333.
