Ileta Dowell Porter's Obituary
Ileta Graham Dowell Porter age 88 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Porter was born in the Gold Hill Community of Grayson County, Virginia on April 21, 1927 to Charles and Alice Cox Dowell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Bruce Porter.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Montie Horton of Fries, Virginia; Glenda and Steven Kennedy of Galax, Virginia; grandson and wife Michael and Tammy Horton; great-grandchildren Chelsea Horton; Kendra Horton and Emily Horton; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Lee Thomas and Eddie Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
