Ilene Cox Todd age 96 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 in Galax, Virginia.

Mrs. Todd was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 30, 1921 to Leslie and Stella Cockerham Wilson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Grover Lee Cox, Sr. and Rex Todd and a daughter Wanda McAllidon.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Johnny Privette of Stokesdale, North Carolina; sons and daughters-in-law Gene and Wanda Cox of Galax, Virginia; Grover Lee and Marylon Cox, Jr. of Summerville, South Carolina; Gerald and Kathy Cox of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Edith Wilson of Galax, Virginia; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:30 PM in the Pleasant Home Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparta, North Carolina with Elder Herbert Rutherford officiating. Friends may call at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home during regular business hours on Friday and Saturday morning. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Pleasant Home Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 2956 Vox Road, Sparta, North Carolina 28675 or to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 614, Galax, Virginia 24333.
