Ilah Mae Baumgardner age 80 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007 in North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Baumgardner was born on February 6, 1927 in Galax, Va. to Arthur & Ila Taylor Bean. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Hill; sons & daughters-in-law Danny & Hallie Baumgardner; Charles & Priscilla Baumgardner all of Galax, Va; step-mother Nolean Bean of North Carolina; sisters Mildred Vaughan; Betty Mabe both of Galax, Va.; Twila Mace and Elizabeth Phillips both of North Carolina; Gretta Asbury of Kingsport, Tennessee; brothers & sisters-in-law Tony & Katherine Bean; Billy & Peggy Bean all of North Carolina; Danny Burris of Galax, Va.; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Jay Noland officiating. Burial will follow in the Galax City Cemetery.
