Faye Carpenter Galway age 85 of Radford, Virginia departed this life on Sunday July 6, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Galway was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 19, 1928 to Elmer Deroy and Mamie Fain Carpenter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.
She has made her home in Radford for several years.
She is survived by her husband William B. Galway of Radford, Virginia; sister Edith C. Riggins of Galax, Virginia; a sister-in-law of Connecticut; several special nieces, nephews and cousins; numerous friends, neighbors and acquaintances who loved her dearly.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Oakland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Smith, the Rev. James Billings and the Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Oakland United
