Ida Hall Chappell, age 87, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at her home.  Mrs. Chappell was born February 16, 1934 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Rufus Isaac and Lana Etta Horton Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Chappell.

She is survived by daughters and son-in law:  Evelyn Stoots of Woodlawn; Wanda and Ron Spurlin of Galax, grandchildren Angela Wyatt & Steve; Kimberly Blevins & Robert; Jennifer Reedy & Stacy; Beth Ann Stoots; Jeff Stoots & Heather; great grandchildren: Drake, Brandon & Rylee, Grayson, Julie, Kelly & Shawn, Amber, Hannah, Jordan and Deven.  Special Caregivers and Friends: Nancy and Becky.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services and burial will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery with Brandon Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery.
