Hutch Stata, Jr. age 89 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday,January 3, 2011 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Stata was born in Grayson County, Virginia on July 28, 1921 to Hutch Bryan Stata and Waynie Ring Stata.
He is survived by his wife Edna Louise Stata of Fries, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Anna and Don Bond of Roanoke, Virginia; granddaughter and husband Tiffany and Robb Childs; great-grandson Alex Childs; brothers-in-law and wife David and Linda Reeves of Fries, Virginia; Harry Patton of Galax, Virginia; sisters-in-law and husband Hallie Simcox of Low Gap, North Carolina; Barbara Mayes of Roanoke, Virginia; Betty Jo Creed of Independence, Virginia; Myra Jean Willard; Linda and Raymond Byrd all of Danville, Virginia; special cousin Roy Grimes; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. John Williams and Doug Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
