Hurd Franklin Anderson age 63 of Fries, Va. passed away Saturday, January 26,2008 at his home. Mr. Anderson was born on September 25, 1944 in Grayson County, Va. to Warren Franklin & Susie Mae Johnson Anderson. In addition to his mother of Fries, Va. he is survived by his daughters & son-in-law Tonia & Victor Ross of Douglasville, Georgia; Sonia D. Anderson & Artisha Lynette Anderson both of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Tacoma R. Anderson of Woodbridge, Va.; Tina Marie Newman of Fries, Va.; brother & sister-in-law Roger & Judy Anderson of Roanoke, Va.; sisters & brothers-in-law Linda & Ralph King of Lynchburg, Va.; Genie & Carl Fugate of Fries, Va.; five grandchildren; host of uncles & aunts; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from twelve until two Thursday before the funeral service at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the National Diabetes Association.
