Howard Gordon Jones' Obituary
Howard Gordon Jones age 92 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Jones was born on September 19, 1917 in Galax, Va. to Guy and Mollie Daugherty Jones. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Beatrice Ayers Jones.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Lola Lundy & Louise Gray both of Galax, Va.; Hazel & Bob Lundy of Baltimore, Md.; Ruby & Bill Manning of Woodlawn, Va.; Freda & Jerry Branscome of Pulaski, Va.; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Friday, September 3, 2010 at 12 o'clock noon in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Robert Early and Rev. Tony Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday moring from eleven until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
