Howard Sidney Farmer age 85 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Farmer was born on September 11, 1923 in Carroll County, Va. to Richard M. & Martha E. Edwards Farmer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Esther Louise Farmer. He is survived by two brothers Ray Farmer of Fries, Va. and Kenneth Farmer of Bassett, Va.; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Crooked Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
