Homer Lewis Johnson, Sr. age 93 of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 in the Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mr. Johnson was born on October 8, 1924 in Carroll County, Virginia to Sidney Harvey and Nancy Alice Montgomery Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Hannah Frances Byrd Johnson.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Lena Elizabeth and Joe Lineberry of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Homer Lewis Johnson, Jr.; William Kevin and Jennifer Johnson all of Fries, Virginia; Dwight David Johnson of Ivanhoe, Virginia; sister Magdalene Mallory of Fries, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Vernon and Betty Johnson of Fries, Virginia; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
