Homer S. Coulson age 97 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Waddell Nursing Home.
Mr. Coulson was born on November 29, 1912 in Carroll County, Virginia to Samuel and Maggie Lawson Coulson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude J. Coulson and a sister Lena Jennings.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Fred Honaker of King, N.C.; son J.D. Coulson of Hillsville, Va.; grandchildren Terry Coulson; Carol Riccio and Sonya Gregory; foster grandchildren Ellis Schrader and Orville Holt; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brother Andrew Coulson of Woodlawn, Va.; brother-in-law Olis Jennings of Dublin, Va..
The funeral service will be held Monday, July 5, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Coulson Church of the Brethren with Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at Coulson Church of the Brethren.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Waddell Nursing Home for the love and care they gave Mr. Coulson.
