Holland Jane Creed Carr known as Holly Carr age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Carr was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 24, 1942 to Lindsey and Maggie McRoberts Creed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Carr; daughter Peggy McLean; granddaughter Peggy Shaw and grandson-in-law Phillip Goodson.

She is survived by her children and their spouses Rick McLean of Independence, Virginia; Rick and Mony Carr; Jan and Roy Bedsaul all of Galax, Virginia; Charlie and Nicky Johnson of Gray Court, South Carolina; sisters Lenoria Slater of King, North Carolina; Teresa Sexton of Rock Hill, South Carolina; six grandchildren Josh Shelton; Devin Johnson: Tina Goodson; Emily McLean; Tuesday McLean and Brianna Johnson; eleven great-grandchildren Kenzie Johnson; Konner Johnson; Lucas Johnson; Ellis Johnson; Eli Wood; Shyann Wood; Alana Rio; Kiley Shelton; Chase Shelton; Kamin Shelton and Silverstein McLean Isom; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Joe Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
