Hobert Lee Mays age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday July 21,2021 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

Mr. Mays was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 10, 1935 to James Wesley and Linnie Ellen Lyon Mays.

He is survived by his wife Rosa Lee Billings Mays; son and daughter-in-law Robert Lee and Kelly Mays of the Pipers Gap Community; brother and sister-in-law Bobby Dean and Wanda Mays of Galax, Virginia; three grandchildren Crystal Mays, Tracy Mays and Katie Mays; two great-grandchildren Austin Carico and Tyler Carico.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Galax City Cemetery with Pastor Terry Brown and Pastor Max Combs officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
