Hobert Harden Linville age 91 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Linville was born on March 17, 1922 in Carroll County, Virginia to Henry and Ellie Mooney Linville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Edith V. Linville; son Leon Linville; three grandchildren; six sisters and one brother.

He is survived by two daughters Ruth Ayers and Dorothy Alderman both of Fries, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Rose Linville of Fries, Virginia; daughter-in-law Pat Linville of Fries, Virginia; sisters Marie Newman of Galax, Virginia; Fannie and Glenn Lowe of Wytheville, Virginia Sadie Alderman and Elwood Funk of Galax, Virginia; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 3:30 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Titus Anderson and the Rev. Michael Correll officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
