Hobart "Skip" Reid Boyer, Jr.

Hobart (Skip) Reid Boyer, Jr. age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026 at his home.

Mr. Boyer was born in Galax, Virginia on December 26, 1939, to Hobart Reid Boyer, Sr. and Constance Schooley Boyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Robert Boyer.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Boyer of Galax, Virginia; sons John Boyer of Pinellas Park, Florida; James Rollins of Pinnacle, North Carolina; Robert Rollins of Portage, MI.; Michael Rollins of Clearwater, Florida; grandsons Devin Boyer and Tyler Boyer both of Galax, Virginia; Austin Faurote of St. Petersburg, Florida; Spencer Rollins of Clearwater, Florida; Dalton Rollins and Lacie Rollins both of Georgia; granddaughter Alyssa Boyer; three great-grandchildren Leon Boyer; Claire Boyer and Jeremiah Boyer all of Galax, Virginia.

There will be no services for Mr. Boyer at this time.
