Herman Glenn Thomason age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 in the Commonwealth Senior Living in Hillsville, Virginia.

Mr. Thomason was born on July 17, 1936 in Carroll County, Virginia to Coon Boyd and Mary Ethel Hall Thomason. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Josephine Jennings Thomason; siblings Early Thomason, Billy Thomason, Lottie Bowers and Shirley Price.

He proudly served his country in the U S Army.

He is survived by two sisters Margaret Newman of Galax, Virginia; Lillie Mae Joyce of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; one brother Daniel Thomason of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; his namesake Micah Thomason Williams.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Felts Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Harmon officiating. Military Rites will be conducted at the gravesite by the Grayson VFW Post 7726.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
