Herman Warren Patton's Obituary
Herman Warren Patton age 91 of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Patton was born on January 5, 1922 in Oxford, Pennsylvania to the late Ray and Molly Burris Patton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lucille Patton.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law Betty and Greg Davis of Fries, Virginia; Elaine Parker of Oak Ridge, North Carolina; son and daughter--in-law Richard and Tammy Patton of Fries, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Dottie Sue and Warren Vaughan of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Roger and Lovie Patton; Bobby and Loree Patton all of Galax, Virginia; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and two special caregivers.
The funeral service will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery with Military Rites by the Grayson
VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy.
