Herman Ray Melton age 84 of Independence, Virginia passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Melton was born on August 2, 1929 in Carroll County, Virginia to Samuel and Mary Edwards Melton.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law Charlie and Shay Melton of Galax, Virginia; Johnny Melton of Fancy Gap, Virginia; brother Claude Melton of Woodlawn, Virginia.
At the request of Mr. Melton his body will be cremated.
