Herman Hubert Manuel, 84, of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his home. He was born Sunday, November 4, 1928 in Carroll County, Virginia to Roby and Wada Grimes Manuel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Manuel and daughter Debra Manuel.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Patsy & Terry Woods of Elon, North Carolina; granddaughter and spouse Amy & Chris Byers of Stuart , Virginia; great grandchildren Grayson Lineberry, Ivan Byers and Jonah Byers; sister Josie Criner of Galax, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday January 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Felts Cemetery with Rev. Sam Holder officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Friends may call at the home at any time.
