Herman Dewayne Brown, Jr. age 59 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at his home.
Herman was born on June 11, 1952 in Galax, Virginia to Herman Dewayne Brown, Sr. and Stella Reeves Brown.
He is survived by his wife Lisa Brown; son Darius Brown; step-son Devon Saunders all of Galax, Virginia; grandchild Kayson Saunders; sisters and brothers-in-law Iona and Gary Bryson of Cleveland, Ohio; Geralene Brown of Newport News, Virginia; Theda Early; Marsha Brown; Gloria Jean Brown all of Galax, Virginia; Sparkle and Donnell Thompson of Charlotte, North Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law Rev. Jackie and Ann Reeves; Stephen and Teresia Brown; Tony Brown and Perry Brown all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Zion Holiness Church with Bishop Charlie Millner and Rev. Jackie Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from seven until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
