Herbert Jack Mitchell age 90 of Bronston, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 1,2009 in Kentucky. Mr. Mitchell was born in Grayson County, Va. on August 12, 1918 to Stanford Lee & Laura Cummings Mitchell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jennevieve Black Mitchell and daughter Jacqueline Taylor. He is survived by sons & daughters-in-law Joe & Ana Mitchell of South Gate, Michigan; Bill & Rose Marie Mitchell of Castro Valley, California; son -in-law Joe Taylor of Bronston, Kentucky; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 11:00 am in Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Smythers & Bishop James B. Lanter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church.
