Herbert Lee Martin's Obituary
Herbert Lee Martin age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 in the Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
Mr. Martin was born on July 28, 1936 in Grayson County, Virginia to Isaac Marion and Forest Irene Shupe Martin.
He proudly served his country in the US Navy.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Junior Harmon of Galax, Virginia; sons Timmy Martin, E.W. Martin and Brandon Martin all of Burlington, North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law Wilma and David Waller; brother and sister-in-law Benny and Mary Martin all of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The service will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
