Henrietta Martin better known as "Bootsie" Martin age 70 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Ms. Martin was born on November 23, 1938 in Galax, Va. to William & Virginia Crockett. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother Waymon Martin, Jr.. In addition to her mother Virginia Willis of Galax, Va. she is survived by her special life time friend John A. Johnson; children Robert Martin & Linda S. Martin both of Galax, Va.; Janice Brown of Akron, Ohio; Norma Sanders of Baltimore, Maryland; sisters Loretta Martin of Bladensburg, Maryland; Cynthia Crockett of Akron, Ohio; Doris Thicklin of Chicago, Illinois; brothers Tony Willis; Clarence Willis, Jr.; William Willis & Rufus Willis all of Galax, Va.; five grandchildren; host of nieces & nephews; special friends Eunice Brown, Wilma Kyle, Mattie L. Bryson, and special family of Buck Higgins. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 30, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Sister Sue Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will recevie friends Saturday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
