Henly Clarence Davis age 90 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Davis was born in Carroll County, Virginia on September 18, 1924 to Estel B. and Rosa Cox Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Louise Hawks Davis and a special friend Iva Ward.

He proudly served our country in the US Navy and was a life member of the Hillsville VFW Post 1115.

He is survived by his daughter Ann C. Davis of Woodlawn, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Jansen B. and Lisa Davis of Germantown, Maryland; grandchildren and spouse Ariel Felts; Amanda and Joey Henderson; Mina Soleimani; Cameron Soleimani; great-grandchildren Mason Henderson and Devin Urbina; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at twelve noon in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Bartlett and the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery with Military Rites by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the First Baptist Church.
