Helena Lee Williams, age 76, of Fancy Gap, VA, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 in the Twin County Regionel Hospital.
Mrs. Williams was born May 6, 1933 to Luther Lee and Effie Gertrude Vass Tolbert in Pulaski County, VA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Madison Williams, her parents, sister, Irene Smythers, two nephews, David Hall and Gay Smythers.
Surviving Mrs. Willliams is a brother & sister-in-law, Carl & Shirley Tolbert, sister & brother-in-law, Ivan & Linda Hall of Fancy Gap, VA. Linda is her "special daughter" as her mother died when she was five days old and Paul & Helena raised her. Surviving, also, is a "very special" grandson & his wife, John & Kim Hall, Murfreesboro, TN. two "very special" great-granddaughters, Sarah & Savannah Hall, uncle & his wife, Jessee & Ilene Burcham, Woodlawn, VA, sisters-in-law, Betty Gardner & Jocelyn Sharpe, Galax, special friends, Gail Brown & Mary Dills, nephew & spouse, Jimmy & Norma Tolbert, Galax. A host of nephews, nieces, and cousins survive.
Graveside service & burial will be held Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at the Felts Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held tonight (Sunday) at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Vinton Quesenberry and in leiu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
