Helena Ruth Sexton, age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Sexton was born in Carroll County, Virginia on March 30,1934 to Ted P. and Arla Brooks Montgomery Lineberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Vivian Sexton, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Vivian and Don Crews of Moultrie, Georgia; Theresa and Barry Mawyer of Galax, Virginia; Kimberly and Tim Coble of Hillsville, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law William T. and Doris Sexton of Max Meadows, Virginia; David and Pamela Sexton of Jonesville, Florida; sisters Ethel Whitlow of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Frances Akers of Hillsville, Virginia; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 12:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Pastor Ernie Smith and Don Crews officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
