Helen Edwards Stoneman, 96, of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Waddell Nursing Home.  Mrs. Stoneman was born September 18, 1922 to the late Virgil W. and Tottie Robinson Harrison in Carroll County, Virginia.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Hermon R. Edwards, Guy Burcham and Roy Stoneman; sons James Edwards, David Edwards and Hermon Edwards, Jr.; sisters -  Ruth Carico, Audrey Kinzer, Virginia Geriad, Betty Jean Faulkner, and Ruby Harrison; brothers - Clayton Harrison, Wilmer Harrison and Roy Harrison.  Also preceding her in death was special aunt and uncle Laura and Lee Burcham.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Paul and Camilla Edwards of Galax Virginia; daughter-in-law Jane Edwards of Lilburn, Georgia; six (6) grandchildren Jimmy Moss, Tracy Moss, Lee Edwards, Brian Edwards, Shayne Edwards and Kirk Edwards; ten (10) great grandchildren; three (3) great-great grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews also survive. The following are privileged to serve as pallbearers: Danny Harrison, Kenneth Hamm, Randy Hamm, Michael Hamm, Lee Edwards and Jimmy Moss.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 23, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Dr. Ronny Harrison officiating.  Interment will follow in the Felts Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until time for the service.

The family respectfully requests no visits or food at the home.
